The platform does not simply translate the paper-based<br \/>\nprocedure into a paperless process but takes advantage of new digital technologies<br \/>\nto establish a more interactive and user-friendly dialogue. Since its launch, we<br \/>\nhave continually added new features and services to MyEPO Portfolio, and two<br \/>\nthirds of our online users already benefit from improved access to their<br \/>\nmailboxes.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nToday, we are announcing<br \/>\nthe completion of the second pilot and the release of pilot features to all<br \/>\nusers. This latest release includes new features and services that provide<br \/>\neasier information exchange, simplified workflows, and more direct interaction<br \/>\nwith the EPO. \u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThese have been<br \/>\ntrialled and developed in close collaboration with a pilot group of around 135 companies<br \/>\nfrom our user community. We would like to thank these users for their time, effort<br \/>\nand input. Your feedback has taken us a step closer to a fully digital PGP.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThe following features and services are now available<br \/>\nto all users:\n<\/p>\n<h2>1. Interacting<br \/>\nwith examiners through a shared area<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\tYou now<br \/>\n\thave a personal shared area where you can upload, review, edit and annotate<br \/>\n\tdocuments together with examiners during a live consultation. This new feature<br \/>\n\tadds real-time interaction to our online services, greatly increasing quality,<br \/>\n\ttransparency as well as efficiency.\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>2. Enhanced<br \/>\nsecurity <br \/><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\tYou can use secure two-factor verification (2FA) methods to access<br \/>\n\tMyEPO Portfolio, Central Fee Payment and Online Filing 2.0. You no longer need a physical smart card to<br \/>\n\taccess our services.<\/li>\n<li>\n\tSmart<br \/>\n\tcard access will be available until the end of 2024, enabling a smooth<br \/>\n\ttransition before card decommissioning begins in January 2025. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>3. New<br \/>\nfunctionalities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\tIf you are representing an<br \/>\n\topponent, your opposition cases are available in your portfolio view.<\/li>\n<li>\n\tParalegals and other IP support<br \/>\n\tstaff can send submissions, duly signed by a representative, and make payments<br \/>\n\tusing their deposit account.<\/li>\n<li>\n\tYou may reply to the extended<br \/>\n\tEuropean search report. <\/li>\n<li>\n\tYou may also reply to an invitation<br \/>\n\tabout subject-matter for search. <\/li>\n<li>\n\tThese reply options join features<br \/>\n\talready implemented, namely the functionality to reply to a communication about<br \/>\n\tthe intention to grant the European patent and reply to a communication under<br \/>\n\tArticle 94(3) EPC. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>4. Improved<br \/>\ncommunication during the PCT international phase <br \/><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\tMyEPO Portfolio opens the door for international<br \/>\n\tagents and non-European applicants to benefit from our online services for the<br \/>\n\tfirst time, by receiving electronic PCT communications from the EPO acting as<br \/>\n\t(S)ISA or IPEA in the international phase. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>5. Integration<br \/>\nwith IP management systems<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\tThe first in a series of technical business-to-business<br \/>\n\tinterfaces (APIs) has been released, designed to automate the exchange of data<br \/>\n\tbetween your IP management system and MyEPO. With this first API, you can download<br \/>\n\tcommunications we have sent to your EPO Mailbox. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>6. Contingency<br \/>\nupload service<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\tOur new contingency upload service will enable you to submit your<br \/>\n\turgent documents electronically should online filing be unavailable. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nIn parallel, we have made improvements to the MyEPO<br \/>\nServices area on our website. A review revealed the need to enhance user<br \/>\nexperience by providing relevant information in a quick and user-friendly<br \/>\nmanner. By keeping the information on the MyEPO Portfolio, Online Filing 2.0<br \/>\nand Central Payment fees applications in separated sections, we ensure that<br \/>\nusers can easily access the necessary details related to these services.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThe site now also includes dedicated sections for<br \/>\ntraining, release notes, the latest updates and contact details.
