The public consultation took place during January and<br \/>\nFebruary in the frame of the EPO&#8217;s preparations for launching a new informal,<br \/>\nconfidential and neutral Ombuds service as part of its commitment to<br \/>\ncontinuously improve its products and services.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nYou can find<br \/>\na summary of the findings below. Many thanks are due to everyone who took the<br \/>\ntime to submit their views, feedback and comments.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Consultation findings\" height=\"291\" src=\"https:\/\/www.epo.org\/news-events\/news\/2022\/20220421\/consultation-findings.jpg?lenya.module=svg&amp;height=291&amp;width=560\" title=\"Consultation findings\" width=\"560\" \/>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThe input received has shaped the design phase of the new<br \/>\nOmbuds Office service, which is due to launch imminently. The service will provide a confidential, informal<br \/>\nand neutral environment in which stakeholders can discuss and clarify the<br \/>\ndetails underlying their issue and work out measures to bring stalled processes<br \/>\nback on track.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThe services of the Ombuds Office will be available to anyone<br \/>\nwho experiences difficulties in<br \/>\ntheir dealings with the EPO and who has exhausted the regular channels for resolution.<br \/>\nIts service will be complementary to existing<br \/>\nservices such as the complaints service and does&nbsp;not address matters that<br \/>\nconcern the Boards of Appeal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a recent consultation, EPO stakeholders submitted their preferences and expectations regarding a new Ombuds Office service.
